In our exclusive interview, the creator of MFit tells us how she sorts through the chaos of online fitness and delivers real lasting results.
Molly McNamee is just different. In today's oversaturated world of online fitness, we are bombarded with false promises and photoshop gains. Molly has a simple solution: Make Moving Normal Again! "When I first got started it was all superficial" she said. "Let me just help you move and look good." After working with clients and helping them overcome serious health issues, her attitude suddenly changed. "I quickly realized bodies are complicated and people kind of need to be using movement to heal, not just to move and look good."
Having lived a life of staying fit, working out, and pushing limits, Molly now uses her experience to help improve the lives of a global client base. Having now perfected the online one on one format, she sets her sights on helping you reach your goals; without the hassle of cumbersome gym memberships and the headache of impossible resistance routines.
Check out these takeaways from our interview with Molly:
Low impact for the win!
If you have been dreading those gruesome bouts of HIIT or hours long iron pumping sessions, Molly has good news for you!
"The actual movement style of MFit is low impact, moderate strength and mobility workouts." Molly told me about her MFit program, which is customizable for anyone who wants to move their body. This is actually backed by research. According to thenationshealth.org: "not only does low-impact exercise come with the benefits of improved strength, lower blood pressure and reduced stress, but such a workout also cuts down on the risk of musculoskeletal injury."
Anyone worried about achieving a quality burn with low impact workouts may be using the wrong program. "One thing I noticed is when I was looking for low impact workouts it was all mad easy. So what I've done is find a way to make low impact more intense" Molly explains. "Not just watered down boring stuff.
Overcoming Adversity is Natural
Anyone who has tried anything in life has probably faced adversity. Fitness is no different. People experience injury, personal setbacks, or sometimes they just aren't able to "make weight". Whether their goals are to lift more or weigh less, adversity is almost always guaranteed to present itself in one way or another.
"The reason I switched to low impact initially is because I got a concussion and I couldn't physically jump around anymore, or throw around heavy weights without feeling sick." Molly shared. After facing adversity pursuing gymnastics from an early age and sustaining serious injury, she created MFit as a way to share her passion for fitness without the stress and risk of high intensity workouts.

Interval makes an impact
"I have this one class called HIIT and burn." Molly explained she syncs some of her training programs to music. "For one song we do cardio, one song is strength, and we alternate like that with our intervals".
When asking about interval training, Molly gave us some very cool insights on how she uses music and workout variations to achieve a maximum burn and get results for her clients. "All of my workouts are pretty upbeat and fast paced without pounding on the joints."
The MFit Experience.
